Giving hope under the weight of war (Podcast)

by NCF staff  |  October 10, 2017  |  Type: Podcasts

In this new episode of our Inside Giving podcast, you’ll hear the incredible story of NCF givers John and Cindy, who have chosen to remain anonymous.

Last year, NCF helped John and Cindy make an innovative gift when they sold a portion of their business. By giving before the sale, they were able to save taxes and send more support for an emergency field hospital – positioned a short distance outside Mosul, Iraq – through Samaritan’s Purse.

Mosul was controlled by ISIS for two years, and during liberation by Iraqi forces, tens of thousands of civilians were caught in the crossfire. The medical staff at the emergency field hospital treated men, women, children, and even enemy combatants.

Not only were John and Cindy able to give more to ministry through the gift, but they had the opportunity to learn how their gift is sharing the love of Christ in the face of extreme terrorism.

The medical staff work around the clock as they treat civilans and ISIS fighters
